Damlataş Cave is a small but stunning natural cave located near Cleopatra Beach in Alanya. Discovered in 1948 during construction of the harbor, the cave is famous for its stalactites and stalagmites formed over 15,000 years. It has a unique microclimate with high humidity and carbon dioxide levels, which has made it a popular spot for asthma therapy. The cave is easily accessible and a quick, cool escape from the summer heat.
The name means "Dripping Stone" in Turkish, due to the continuous water droplets forming stalactites and stalagmites.
It’s at the eastern end of Cleopatra Beach, very close to the Alanya Cable Car station.
Unfortunately, no. There are stairs at the entrance that make access difficult for wheelchair users.
Typically open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, though hours may vary slightly in off-season or on holidays.
