Kayaköy (Ghost Village)

Kayaköy, often called the Ghost Village, is a hauntingly beautiful abandoned Greek village located about 8 km south of Fethiye. Once home to a thriving Greek Orthodox community, the village was deserted after the 1923 population exchange between Greece and Turkey. Today, its hundreds of empty stone houses, chapels, and narrow cobbled paths are preserved as a historical site and serve as a quiet, atmospheric reminder of the past.
